It’s time for our community to step up and serve those who served us. Project Aware is a coalition of partnering agencies in the community including Barksdale Air Force Base, brought together by the Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) Grant. The program offers mental health first aid and applied suicide intervention skills training to military service personnel, veterans, and their families. The program is also offered to firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, community-based staff, and court personnel.

The goals of Project AWARE are to improve the response to mental health issues in the community and to train members of the community to help those in need.
