The IMPACT program is all about fostering positive change and giving our clients resources vital to their success. It provides permanent community-based housing for 26 chronically homeless men, women and families. IMPACT is funded by HUD and specifically helps those that are in recovery, need substance abuse treatment, need mental health assistance, and/or are physically disabled.
The IMPACT team evaluates each member of the program to help give them support and provide them with the tools they need to be as independent as possible.
“IMPACT was a wonderful program. I moved from New Orleans after being on drugs for 20 years. After treatment, I got connected with Community Support Programs and they helped me. I have remained sober throughout my time in the program and continue to be sober. The program works if you work it. It’s a beautiful program, and I completed it. It gave me stability to stand up on my own feet. It helped me to be able to function on my own. I now am able to pay my bills on my own, and pay them on time. Thanks to the completion of the program, I am living on my own now. I truly do not know where I would be without the program. It really gave me a leg to stand on and a better outlook on life”. - V.
